Dr Nima Pakrou

Nima is one of Launceston Eye Institute's locum ophthalmologists. He completed he medical degree at the University of Adelaide and went on to complete his Masters of Medicine at the University of Sydney. Nima completed his ophthalmology specialty training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne and following his specialty training he has been based in the UK for the past year completing a fellowship in medical retina and uveitis at the Bristol Eye Hospital.

Aside from clinical work, Nima also enjoys being involved in other areas of ophthalmology including research and training. His personal interests include playing tennis, travelling and experiencing the different cultures and languages of other countries.

**A locum is a qualified physician who temporarily substitutes for another member of the same profession.
